HER STORY

Javi Martinez arrived in this world as a force of transformation — and she has spent her life learning how to wield that force with grace.

Born in Guatemala and immigrating to the United States as a child, Javi navigated the deep rupture of displacement and the profound invitation to forge an identity across cultures, languages, and worlds. This journey of in-between — of never quite fitting, of feeling more than the world could hold — became the seed of her gifts.

As a Queer Trans-Woman, Javi carries the lived wisdom of threshold-crossing in her bones. She knows what it means to shed one identity and step, trembling, into a truer one. This knowing infuses every space she holds.

Her path as a healer has been anything but linear. She holds graduate-level training in Mental Health, grounding her work in trauma-informed care. Alongside this, she has completed deep Spiritual, Shamanic, and Tantric internships at the School of the Wild Heart and within the International School of Temple Arts (ISTA), studying with world leaders in Sacred Sexual Shamanism.

She is the founder of Heavy Metal Tantra — a wildly original practice that fuses erotic music meditation with shadow work, proving that the sacred and the raw can live in the same breath.

Today, Javi serves as ISTA Faculty and as a Priestess in Service to the Goddess. She holds space for women, men, and all beings who are ready to meet themselves at the threshold of what they have always known but were afraid to claim.
